LE CLOS LANSON
We're delighted to share with you some of the fine awards won by Clos Lanson in the exceptional 2008 vintage.
"From a very pure chalky soil and benefiting from an exceptional microclimate suitable for vine development, Clos Lanson offers an outstanding signature for a wine with a great personality." - Hervé Dantan, Cellar Master.
These ratings further strengthen Clos Lanson's place among the Great Wines of Champagne and confirm the value of offering this exceptional wine to connoisseurs and collectors throughout the Place de Bordeaux.
PHILIPPONAT ROYALE RESERVE, A BRUT CROWNED WITH SUCCESS!
Among a fine crop of top ratings from the world's best critics, Champagne Philipponnat's Royale Réserve Brut has been named best non-vintage champagne by Revue du Vin de France (RVF), among a selection of 22 champagnes tasted by blind tasting.
In addition to this French distinction, Philipponnat's Royale Réserve Brut also received the award from the English equivalent of the Revue du Vin de France, the renowned "Decanter" magazine, which placed it at the top of the ten best "Non Vintage" tastings.
In the USA, the no less important "Wine Spectator" awarded the same cuvée the exceptional score of 93 points for a non-vintage champagne.
These three awards from three of the wine world's leading press titles do justice and honor to the success that comes from the House's philosophy: the constant, unceasing quest for excellence. The House is also proud to have received these awards for its most complex cuvée, and the largest in terms of volume in a top-quality range.

180 YEARS OF MAISON BESSERAT DE BELLEFON:
a message from Nathalie Doucet, Chairwoman
"Today, I'd like to share with you the major event we're celebrating this year: 180 years of an extraordinary Champagne House.
"180 is a round number that follows the contours of Champagne Besserat de Bellefon's bubbles, which are 30% finer than those of a traditional champagne. It's a unique singularity of which we're proud, and whose secret we've kept as part of our heritage... When tasted, they provide "La Sensation BB".
BB" are two letters that express a certain Art de Vivre, French elegance and a certain audacity. Know-how and exceptional quality have brought our famous "Cuvée des Moines" to the world's finest tables over the years. Today, the 180th anniversary cuvée completes the range. More recently, the "Triple B" cuvée, a Brut Nature champagne certified organic and biodynamic... Blanc de Blancs, Blanc de Noirs, Bleu Brut, Rose Brut, Extra-Brut, Millésime 2013, Cuvées de Prestige 1843 and Brigitte Bardot... With my whole team, we and our cellar master, Cédric Thiébault, have even more wonderful surprises in store for you in the years to come."
"Maison Besserat de Bellefon is the exclusive supplier to events linked to the French art of living: the Etoiles de Mougins - the international gastronomy festival - and the International Festival of Culinary Photography."
"I welcome you to the BB world, where our slogan "Freedom, Elegance and Simplicity" will continue to resonate as values for future generations. I invite you to discover our complete range in our online boutique. CUVEE SOUS BOIS
Vinified according to early 20th-century traditional methods, Cuvée Sous Bois 2009 recaptures the character of the Champagnes of yesteryear.
The 2009 vintage is made using grapes from several Grands Crus and Premier Crus: Chardonnay from Chouilly, Vertus and Bisseuil, and Pinot Noir from Mailly and Tours-sur-Marne. Vinification takes place in old Champagne and Burgundy barrels: the wines remain in these barrels for nine months after the harvest, until they are drawn off in July.
After long ageing in the cellars, Cuvée Sous Bois is today a great wine, which fully expresses itself in the glass after a few minutes, and can even be decanted to make its tasting even more exceptional. It's the perfect Champagne to enjoy throughout a meal.
Tasting notes: a deep golden color, a woody nose that gives way to aromas of white flowers, cooked fruit, grilled almonds and spice, an airy balance between freshness and power on the palate, with notes of red fruit.
CHAMPAGNE DE VENOGE: CHRISTMAS GIFT SETS
For the end of the year, Maison de Venoge is releasing a new case for its Princes Blanc de Blancs. An elegant box, reminiscent of a snow-covered Christmas tree and adorned with gold motifs.
The emblematic box containing a Cordon Bleu Brut and 2 glasses gets a makeover with a new, elegant and unique design.
On sale at de Venoge's online store, and at leading wine merchants.
LAUNCH OF NOBLE CHAMPAGNE
Maison Lanson presents NOBLE CHAMPAGNE. The exceptional nature of great wines expresses itself with time, so Hervé Dantan, Cellar Master of the Maison Lanson, has chosen to let Noble Champagne wait for nearly two decades in the cellar before presenting the 2004 vintage, one of the oldest vintages currently on the market.
NOBLE Champagne embodies the quest for excellence of the Maison Lanson.
GUIDE HACHETTE DES VINS 2023
Tsarine Cuvée Premium: a remarkable wine
Blended in thirds, chardonnay, pinot noir and meunier have produced a brut with an invigorating, fine, complex nose, combining brioche and fresh fruit. After a round, ripe-fruit attack, the sharp, mineral finish leaves an impression of elegant uprightness.
Champagne Chanoine Frères: The winemaker
As early as 1730, the Chanoine brothers were digging out their cellar in Épernay. Their house, the second oldest after Ruinart, suffered an eclipse after the war, before being reborn thanks to its integration into the Lanson-BCC Group (1991), which equipped it with a vast, modern, above-ground cellar in Reims. She created the Tsarine brand in memory of Catherine II, a great lover of champagne. Isabelle Tellier has been at the helm of the winery since 2001.
TOP MARKS FOR MAISON BURTIN
Maison Burtin is pleased to share the ratings and comments of Andreas Larsson, World's Best Sommelier 2007, on its Champagnes.
Blanc de Blancs 2017: 90 points
"Light gold color with copper highlights and a pretty mousse. The nose features notes of chalk, fresh citrus, hazelnut and stone fruit. The enveloping taste offers crispness and freshness, aromas of young fruit, a lovely unctuousness with notes of fresh butter, pretty bubbles and a fine length. "
Vintage 2014: 93 points
"Golden color of some depth with small, lively bubbles. The nose shows some maturity and complexity with yeasty notes of dough and brioche, as well as nougat and fruit: ripe citrus, plum and pear. Body and creamy texture supported by fresh acidity, lovely fruitiness combined with buttery, nutty flavors leading to a long finish. "
