Champagne Tsarine: a floral communication celebrating elegance

Champagne Tsarine unveils a new visual campaign showcasing its flagship cuvée, the Brut, which blossoms at the heart of a flower - a symbol of grace and renewal. This visual reflects the harmony between the cuvée and its bottle, whose curves evoke a corolla in motion, embodying the elegance and fluidity so characteristic of the Maison. This communication captures the spirit of Champagne Tsarine: a blend of energy, audacity and refinement, enhanced by the freshness and finesse of its wines. This concept paves the way for a gradual unveiling of the collection’s other cuvées, to be discovered over time.

Domaine Alexandre Bonnet honored in The Enthusiast 100: The Best Wines of 2024

Domaine Alexandre Bonnet is proud to announce that its Blanc de Noirs champagne “Les Contrées” Les Vignes Blanches 2019 has received an excellent score of 93/100 and secured the 73rd spot in Wine Enthusiast magazine's prestigious Enthusiast 100 of 2024 ranking.

This champagne, crafted from the exceptional terroir of Les Riceys, impressed experts with its aromatic depth and promising youthfulness. In his tasting note, Roger Voss points out: “The village of Les Riceys, famed for its rosé wine, is widely planted with Pinot Noir. In this Champagne, the aroma has depth and shows the wines's ripe fruits. Textured and full of tangy white fruits from the juice inside the Pinot Noir grapes and acidity, the wine is young. Drink from 2026.”

This award celebrates Domaine Alexandre Bonnet's expertise and showcases the richness of Champagne's vineyards—a true tribute to the art of crafting exceptional champagnes.

MAISON LANSON UNVEILS ITS MILLÉSIME LE CLOS LANSON 2010

Available since September 30th via the Bureau des Grands Vins, Le Clos Lanson 2010 is distributed on the Bordeaux marketplace by six renowned merchants: Joanne Rare Wines, Twins, Ulysse Cazabonne, Maison Ginestet, CVBG and Barrière Frères. This vintage, after twelve years of aging on lees, embodies the elegance and lightness characteristic of Clos Lanson. Distribution began two years ago with the 2009 vintage, followed by the 2008 vintage.

Produced in very limited quantities, each vintage of this exceptional cuvée is offered in numbered bottles and magnums.

CHAMPAGNE LANSON UNVEILS LE ROSE CREATION 67

One year after the launch of Black Création, Hervé Dantan revisits Le Rosé as Le Rosé Création. A forerunner in rosé champagne since 1833, Lanson added this cuvée to its range in 1952.

The House's only rosé, Le Rosé Création is distinguished by its elegant new bottle and the exclusive use of rosé reserve wines, Lanson's unique signature in Champagne. This approach gives this cuvée exceptional aromatic depth, combining the elegance, freshness and fruitiness emblematic of the Lanson style.

CHAMPAGNE PHILIPPONNAT AWARDED "BRAND OF THE YEAR 2023"
BY REVUE DU VIN DE FRANCE

The event awarded the highly coveted "Brand of the Year" prize to Champagne Philipponnat, based in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ. This award crowns the outstanding rise of Maison Philipponnat, which has successfully reinvented itself under the aegis of Charles Philipponnat since 2000. The Maison, now famous for its excellent range of champagnes, has brilliantly faced with the challenge of combining tradition and innovation.

Under Charles Philipponnat's leadership, the company has committed itself to an ambitious restructuring program, both in its vineyards and in its cellars. The result is tangible in their cuvées, notably Royale Réserve and Clos des Goisses, which reflect a perfect balance of vinosity, dynamism and complexity, dominated by pinot noir. The 2016 vintage champagne was particularly acclaimed for its concentration and freshness.

In 2023, Philipponnat even became the 8th Champagne Maison to be awarded a third star in the Revue du Vin de France's Guide des meilleurs vins de France.

CUVEE SOUS BOIS

Vinified according to early 20th-century traditional methods, Cuvée Sous Bois 2009 recaptures the character of the Champagnes of yesteryear.

The 2009 vintage is made using grapes from several Grands Crus and Premier Crus: Chardonnay from Chouilly, Vertus and Bisseuil, and Pinot Noir from Mailly and Tours-sur-Marne. Vinification takes place in old Champagne and Burgundy barrels: the wines remain in these barrels for nine months after the harvest, until they are drawn off in July.

After long ageing in the cellars, Cuvée Sous Bois is today a great wine, which fully expresses itself in the glass after a few minutes, and can even be decanted to make its tasting even more exceptional. It's the perfect Champagne to enjoy throughout a meal.

Tasting notes: a deep golden color, a woody nose that gives way to aromas of white flowers, cooked fruit, grilled almonds and spice, an airy balance between freshness and power on the palate, with notes of red fruit.

TOP MARKS FOR MAISON BURTIN

Maison Burtin is pleased to share the ratings and comments of Andreas Larsson, World's Best Sommelier 2007, on its Champagnes.

Blanc de Blancs 2017: 90 points

"Light gold color with copper highlights and a pretty mousse. The nose features notes of chalk, fresh citrus, hazelnut and stone fruit. The enveloping taste offers crispness and freshness, aromas of young fruit, a lovely unctuousness with notes of fresh butter, pretty bubbles and a fine length. "

Vintage 2014: 93 points

"Golden color of some depth with small, lively bubbles. The nose shows some maturity and complexity with yeasty notes of dough and brioche, as well as nougat and fruit: ripe citrus, plum and pear. Body and creamy texture supported by fresh acidity, lovely fruitiness combined with buttery, nutty flavors leading to a long finish. "
