NEWS FROM THE MAISONS
"JOYAU" OF CHAMPAGNE BOIZEL ON LA PLACE DE BORDEAUX
March will bring another prestigious champagne cuvée to Bordeaux for the first time with the release of Boizel's iconic "Joyau", vintage 2008.
As Florent Roques-Boizel, President of Boizel explains: "We are delighted that the know-how of these great Bordeaux wine merchants can provide Joyau with increased but also more targeted international distribution, perfectly in line with our desire to strengthen the image of this outstanding wine. This collaboration will allow Joyau to reach more people, especially wine connoisseurs around the world. It is in line with our ambition to develop the Maison."
LAUNCH OF NOBLE CHAMPAGNE
Maison Lanson presents NOBLE CHAMPAGNE. The exceptional nature of great wines expresses itself with time, so Hervé Dantan, Cellar Master of the Maison Lanson, has chosen to let Noble Champagne wait for nearly two decades in the cellar before presenting the 2004 vintage, one of the oldest vintages currently on the market.
NOBLE Champagne embodies the quest for excellence of the Maison Lanson.
DOMAINE ALEXANDRE BONNET, WINNER OF MULTIPLE AWARDS
Alain Pailley, cellar master at Domaine Alexandre Bonnet,
received a lifetime achievement award at the Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships 2022 in London.
In addition, Domaine Alexandre Bonnet has been named among the 2022 winners of the "Pierre Cheval de l’embellissement" Prize awarded by the Mission Coteaux, Maisons et Caves de Champagne. This prize was awarded to Didier Mélé, head of cultivation at the Domaine.
LAUNCH OF THE "HOMMAGE A GASTON BURTIN" CUVEE
By launching the “Hommage à Gaston Burtin” range, Frédéric Olivar, President of Maison Burtin, wants to make famous someone who always refused to be. Telling the story of Gaston Burtin is not only paying tribute to our founder, but also perpetuating the legacy of a major player in the Champagne appellation: founder of the 2nd most beautiful Champagne business in the 1960’s and 1970’s years, President of the “Association Syndicale des Négociants en Vins de Champagne” (1967-1973), successive takeovers of flagship Champagne Maisons of the 20th century (including Giesler, Gauthier, then Lanson and Besserat de Bellefon), making him one of the 50 most beautiful French fortunes according to the Expansion…
To pay homage is to honor. To pay tribute is not to forget.
Elegance and discretion are also the brand values created in his homage. Refined cuvées that sublimate the diversity and richness of the Champagne terroir for unforgettable tasting moments.

TSARINE MILLÉSIME 2003 GRAND CRU BLANC DE BLANCS,
A MAISON’S TREASURE CREATED BY THE CELLAR MASTER ISABELLE TELLIER
A great wine intended for connoisseurs and serious champagne lovers. Isabelle Tellier gives us her tasting notes: “Tsarine Millésime 2003 is an intense brilliant gold color; its bubbles are exceptionally fine. The nose expresses the wealth of sun that year with flavors of toasted bread, hazelnuts, and roasted notes. The well-balanced palate is voluptuous and reveals notes of quince jelly, peanut butter and sweet spices. The finish is elegant, with iodine and saline notes.”
